Skyline Society Β· Pricing note

The $250 add-on is doing two jobs

Your rule for pricing extra time is right, and it holds exactly on the $350 proposal. It only slips on one package β€” and the charge itself is really a late fee wearing an upsell's name.

What you're already doing right

You said you charge β€œwhat the hour proposal would cost.” That's the correct instinct β€” it stops someone booking the cheap 30-minute slot and extending their way into a full hour for less than the hour costs. On The Proposal it lands perfectly:

The Proposal β€” the rule works $350 + $250 extension = $600 Signature Skyline, 1 hour = $600

Identical. No way to game it.

The one package where it slips

The extension is a flat $250, but your packages aren't flat. On the $250 Girlfriend/Boyfriend Proposal, that same $250 overshoots the hour price:

Package 30-min price + extension = total 1-hour price
The Proposalβ†’ Signature Skyline $350 +$250 $600 $600 βœ“
GF/BF Proposal→ GF/BF 1 hour $250 +$250 +$150 $500 $400 $400

At $250, that customer pays $100 more than if they'd simply booked the hour up front. Charging $150 instead makes your own rule true everywhere β€” $250 + $150 = $400, exactly the hour price.

Name it a late fee, because that's what it is

You said people buy it β€œwhen they're late as hell.” That's not an upsell β€” it's a penalty. Two different situations are sharing one price and one name, and they shouldn't:

Ran late Overtime

They burned their own time. Charging the full hour-equivalent is fair β€” as long as they knew the rule before they arrived.

Planned ahead Extension

They want longer and asked in advance. This should just follow the ladder, same as any other upgrade.

The money doesn't have to change. What changes is that an unexplained $250 on the day reads as gouging, while a policy they agreed to up front reads as fair. Same charge, completely different review.

Wording you can paste

Add this to the booking page and the message you send after payment:

Your time starts when your booking starts.

The space is set up and yours the moment your slot begins β€” a late arrival doesn't push it back. If you'd like more time and the schedule allows, extra time is $150–$250 per 30 minutes depending on your package, arranged on the day.

Give yourself 10 extra minutes for parking.

Downtown fills up fast. The gravel lot across from Oro is your safest bet. Thirty minutes goes quickly, and we want all of it to be yours.

One thing worth checking before you change anything else

If people are late often enough that it's a revenue line, it's often enough to prevent. Whether that's worth doing depends on one number you already have in Setmore:

Worth pulling before deciding: how many bookings actually bought extra time, and how full the hour after a 30-minute slot typically is.

Sending your exports

Everything below goes straight to Jason β€” nothing is public and nothing is shared. Drop files here instead of texting them, and they arrive named and dated.

  1. Most useful Stripe β€” full payment history Stripe Dashboard β†’ Payments β†’ Export. Pick All columns and set the date range to Jan 1 2026 β†’ today. The balance summary you sent is a monthly total; this one lists each charge, which is what shows why fees came in higher than expected.
  2. Most useful Setmore β€” complete appointment history The export you sent starts on April 24. When support sends the full file, ask them to include cancellations, reschedules, and the date each booking was created β€” those three columns are what explain why bookings fall through.
  3. Next Operation Earn Green β€” after the backfill Send it again once January–May are filled in. Use the full price for each booking rather than what landed in your account β€” processing fees are easier to argue about when you can see them.
  4. Next Your booking agreement Whatever customers agree to when they book β€” a screenshot or copy-paste is fine. The part that matters is anything about photos and video.
  5. When you can TikTok β€” Download your data In the app: Profile β†’ Settings and privacy β†’ Account β†’ Download your data. Request it now; TikTok takes a few days to build the file. Nearly everyone who books you says they found you on TikTok, so this is worth having.
  6. When you can Google reviews From your Google Business Profile. A screenshot of the reviews list works if there's no export.
